**About this client/child**:
Harry (12) is a happy, bright, and engaging boy, who lives at home with his 2 brothers (12 and 14), Mum, and Dad. All three boys are energetic, bright, and full of life. Harry is very engaging and loves musical theatre, live concerts, books, and films. He has an amazing memory and infectious personality. He enjoys spending time with his brothers, who are both very much into sports and music. Harry is verbal and very chatty, with a well-developed vocabulary. Harry attends a specialist secondary school and has various therapeutic interventions at school and at home, such as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. Harry likes getting out and about, he loves music, theatre, going to gigs, reading books at home and at the library and watching films at the cinema. Harry has diplegic cerebral palsy and dystonia, this impacts on both his fine and gross motor skills. He is a wheelchair user and requires full support with all his physical needs, including eating, all personal care, getting around, physical movement, and homework support. He has mild learning and speech disabilities and finds it hard to accept change.

**Overview of role**:
This is a full-time role for a carer/nanny, with Harry as your main focus for all aspects of daily living and care. In the mornings he needs someone to help get him ready for and drive him to school. While Harry is at school there are errands, cooking for the whole family, dog walking, laundry, light cleaning, and tidying. After picking up Harry from school, there will be different activities that could vary day-to-day, such as catching up on homework, having physio sessions, going to hydrotherapy, enjoying an outing (e.g., library, bookshop, or museum), etc. At mealtimes Harry requires help with eating. He can manage finger food but needs help with a fork or a spoon. Harry needs to be showered each evening and dressed for bed before your shift finishes. Although fairly independent, this role also involves looking out for Harry’s brothers, such as ensuring homework is completed or driving to activities. During holiday times, Harry likes to get out and about, so he needs someone proactive to plan day trips, with and without his brothers. The family like to holiday abroad and will occasionally need Harry’s carer to join them.
