SF Recruitment are seeking a Head of Finance for our fantastic client based in Leicestershire. You will be accountable for the effective management, reporting and control of the finances and financial operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and management of the finance function and all finance-related processes to optimise financial performance, financial operations and ensure an environment of strong
financial control.
- Lead the financial budgeting and forecasting processes including provision of appropriate financial insight and analysis to enable resource prioritisation and expenditure decisions to be made.
- Lead all accounting transactional operations and deliver all required finance-related regulatory and statutory reporting.
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and key suppliers.
- Ability to deputise for the CFO as required including at Board meetings and Board Committee meetings.
- Own the risk register for the Finance function, Finance Business Continuity Plan (ensuring regular testing) and ensure finance processes are GDPR compliant.
Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant CIMA, ACCA, ACA
- Proven experience of budget preparation, setting and monitoring and financial forecasting
- Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven report writing skills
- Experience of liaising with auditors, HMRC, pension providers and key suppliers
- Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Successful senior leader with a strong track record in delivering strategic and operational excellence
