An industry-leading company based in Stevenage is looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a close-knit finance team. The successful sales ledger specialist will take ownership of the full Sales Ledger process for the business, includingraising sales invoices, reconciling customer accounts, raising POs and first phone calls to customers. The role requires someone who is happy and comfortable speaking with customers on the phone, has good computer skills, and is keen to learn new processes.

The role is a permanent position working from the office, with free on-site parking.

**Duties**:

- Import all receipts/billing transactions onto the system
- Process all refunds on a timely basis
- Work closely with credit controller to chase debts
- Raise customers invoices
- Bank all cheques received daily
- Assist with the closing of the sales ledger
- Print off and file month-end debtors

Skills Required:

- Confident using computers and Excel - (vlookups)
- 1 year experience working in an accounting capacity
- Previous experience using an accounting system
- Good communication skills
- Works well in a small team
