A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic apprentice to join East Suffolk Council as an **Administration Apprentice (Public Relations and Communications)**.

The main focus of the Communications and Marketing Team is to help the Council explain what it is doing (and why), in the most effective way possible, to a variety of different audiences and using a range of different tools.

**Your role**

Your role will be to support the Communications and Marketing team with a mixture of creative and administrative duties. These include writing impactful copy, supporting our social media output and public relations activities, and also supporting the delivery of internal communication programmes. As part of this you will support the production of engaging content for our social media platforms, help with media enquiries, and monitor external media and articles relating to East Suffolk Council.

**Apprenticeship open evening**

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding two open evenings at our Melton and Lowestoft offices. This will give you the opportunity to find out more about East Suffolk Council’s apprenticeship scheme, learn more about each of our available opportunities direct from the placement managers and ask any questions you have. The open evenings are taking place on the following dates
- 14 May 2024, 5.30pm - 7.00pm at the East Suffolk House offices (Riduna Park, Station Road, Melton, Woodbridge IP12 1RT)
- 16 May 2024, 5.30pm - 7.00pm at the Riverside Offices (4 Canning Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0EQ)
