**Job summary**:
At DfE, we are proud of the commitment we make to diversity and inclusion and of the progress we have made. We have active & vibrant staff networks, special leave policies and workplace adjustments put in place for those who need them. We are continuing to build a diverse DfE, in an inclusive environment which nurtures and realises potential in all, at all levels. Equality and Diversity - Department for Education

Strategic stakeholder engagement is a vital part of how the department develops and implements policy. We all engage with stakeholders everyday as part of our jobs, but the real value comes with our ability to act as intelligent consumers of what our stakeholders tell us and to help the department to speak with each other and ultimately with one voice.

The Strategic Stakeholder Division sits within the Strategy and Delivery Directorate within Strategy Group. We were established as part of ‘Future DfE’ to build on the work of the Schools Stakeholder Unit during our Covid response. Our work in engaging with stakeholders is valued by Ministers, the Permanent Secretary and external stakeholders themselves. The Secretary of State is very keen on being evidence and data lead so the intelligence that stakeholders feed us is invaluable to our policy development and delivery. The work of the team is therefore highly valued, fast paced and exciting.

The team works across all aspects of the department’s policy and is directly involved in high-profile reactive work helping to shape and influence strategic policy development across the department’s priorities. The team is also scoping out new roles and functions to help improve stakeholder engagement across the department, identifying gaps in our current work and proposing innovative solutions. It’s an exciting time to join the team to help shape this new function.

**Job description**:
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys delivering a high-quality service to join us as Stakeholder Engagement Support (EO).
