Occupational Physician

**British Airways Health Services**

British Airways Health Services (BAHS) is BA’s in-house occupational health department. Our services include regulatory medical examinations, health surveillance, occupational health assessments, immunisations, travel health advice, plus wellbeing and health screening. We also support operational requirements such as emergency medical kits, first aid kits and training, crew & duty traveller health down route and passenger medical clearance. BAHS drives BA's safety and success by delivering exceptional aviation medicine and occupational health & wellbeing to colleagues and customers

**The role**

As an Occupational Physician, you’ll provide occupational health services and contribute to the development of occupational health across British Airways. As a leader within BA Health Services, you will be supported by a high-performing Business Support team and line manage a small team of senior OH nurses.

**Key duties**
- Deliver clinical occupational medicine
- Specialist medical support and advice to OHAs and OHPNs
- Specialist occupational medicine advice and delivery across BA departments
- Development of policy, service delivery and metrics to support the BA business
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Customer support through, for example, advice to the passenger medical clearance unit

**Your experience**
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice in the UK - essential
- Experience in Occupational Medicine (MFOM, AFOM desirable) and ideally Aviation Medicine (DAvMed or Basic and Advanced courses in Aviation Medicine King’s College London, or equivalent, desirable)
- Previous general practice or other general medical experience (essential)
- Occupational health experience with ability to understand, anticipate and implement occupational health requirements in a large and complex commercial organisation (essential)
- Experience of health issues associated with air travel (desirable)
