Greater Glasgow and Clyde Learning Disability Services are pleased to advertise a new NES funded 1.0 WTE 8B Senior Clinical Psychologist post. This exciting post has been created with a focus on developing Learning Disability training placements for Trainee Clinical Psychologists from The University of Glasgow. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in service development and strategic decision making, whilst shaping the experience of future Trainee Clinical Psychologist in Learning Disabilities.

Learning Disability Services across the Board area have a strong identity. This post provides exciting prospects to develop networks between The University of Glasgow, local LD services, specialist LD Psychology departments and NES. An ability to travel between teams will be required to build strong links between these partners. This role would involve direct supervision of trainees as well as liaison with Local Area Tutors to support innovative and sustainable placement planning. The post-holder would also act as the link person between all Learning Disability supervisors in GGC and the University Supervisors Group and may be able to input and influence the content of the DClinPsy lectures.
