The purpose of this role is to support the Club with all of its IT requirements, during the week and on match days.

Securing the network and providing core support to all staff members in the club and the community trust, are at the forefront of this. Providing the necessary support to keep the clubs network at 100% up-time, is essential to ensure the success of the Team.

The IT Assistant will support the IT Manager in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and helping to ensure the smooth functioning of The Club's IT systems and infrastructure. This position requires a good understanding of various hardware and software technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external vendors.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users regarding hardware, software, network, and system-related issues. Respond promptly to support requests and troubleshoot problems to resolution. Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager as necessary.
- User Account Management: Create, modify, and disable user accounts in accordance with company policies. Set up and configure user workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Ensure proper access rights and permissions are granted to employees based on their roles and responsibilities.
- Upkeep of the network and phone lines as well as any hardware
- System Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, network equipment, and other IT infrastructure components. Ensure that all systems are up-to-date with the latest software patches, security updates, and antivirus definitions.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies, procedures, and controls. Monitor network activity, identify potential security threats, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks. Collaborate with the IT Manager to conduct security audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Effectively and professionally, communicate with stakeholders, employees and other teams.

Education/Qualifications/Training:

- Networking and Computing Qualification

Specific Experience, Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

- Good Problem solving skills

Office 365 and end User management
- Knowledge of office 365 structures
- Knowledge on basic user password resets/ groups / policies
- End user protection knowledge and data management
- Sharepoint / OneDrive / Teams knowledge
- Good knowledge of Excel/ Word and Teams

Device Management
- Knowledge on cloud device management (intune)
- Knowledge of MDM management for portable devices
- Knowledge of printer solutions
- Understanding of portable devices desirable.

Network Management
- Understanding of basic network topologies
- Understanding of network, router/server and switch management
- Knowledge of SDWAN/ LAN
- Knowledge of IP networks and wireless links
- Switch and Firewall configuration knowledge
