**Role Purpose**

Responsibility for the supervision and control of the resources, operators, materials and documentation within all the manufacturing processes to achieve the manufacturing plans and performance objectives as required, keeping an up to date record of all KPI information, including operator & machine efficiencies, following up on below level performance of both operators and machines.

Including maintaining the quality standards and ensuring that, all the necessary health and safety requirements throughout the manufacturing areas are met in full.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Fully understanding the manufacturing plans and being able to action those plans accordingly through the setters and operators as required.

Ensuring the correct materials and stocks are available in good time for manufacture

Maintaining and improving the working environment and shop floor organisation of products, materials and documentation.

Provide clear identification of work in progress at machines and subsequent Manufacturing orders for processing

Control and clearly identify material holding bays for movement of material’s or products to the next process or final location, utilising support staff to do so.

Ensuring all manufacturing documentation and labelling is correct and suitable for its purpose

Encourage and support all operators with Kiosk logging behaviours

Provide platform for two way communication between operator and supervisor on manufacturing needs and improvements

Encourage and drive efficient and effective working practices within the manufacturing department

Support queries and questions in regard to material or product issues and obtain support from the necessary personnel to help resolve in a timely fashion.

Communicate daily with the Manufacturing Manager and Planner and report any deviations to plan

Identify any downtime to the Manufacturing Manager and Planner or other issues that may affect achieving the departmental objectives and plans.

Support operators in all manufacturing processes to achieve best performance and best manufacturing practices.
- Providing on the job training and performance management to all operators under the responsibility of this role

Undertaking some elements of people management for all operators under the responsibility of this role; including return to work meetings, investigations and other tasks where necessary
