**Head/Global Trade & Customs Manager - Sustainable Energy Sector - €100,000 - €125,000 DOE + Excellent Package - Germany/Benelux/Hybrid**

Heading up the Global Trade Compliance function you will play a critical role in ensuring that the business operates in full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while navigating the complex global trade landscape. Due to recent changes in thebusiness ownership, you will have the full autonomy and ownership to create and lead a brand new Trade, Customs & Tax department focusing on creating best-in-practice methodology and using an innovative approach to solving intricate problems

**_What will the role entail?_**
- The primary role across the next 6 -12 months will be the set up of an effective Global Trade, Customs & Tax Compliance division, creating the foundational processes enabling growth, innovation and optimisation
- Build the long-term roadmap, mapping out the current state across all regions, understanding risk assignment from top down, and identifying opportunities and key areas of improvement.
- Drive and set the successful execution, strategic development and compliance adherence for Import/Export & Cross border Logistics compliance
- Working as part of the wider business with key stakeholders to create a strong community of experts, driving digitisations and setting up processes to enable effective and legally compliant movement of goods

**_Key skills and experience required?_**
- 8-10 years + Experience with Customs & Trade Compliance with strong knowledge of financial customs payments/procedures
- Previous experience setting up new divisions or regions in relation to Trade & Customs
- Track record in process design, mapping out the current landscape and initiating programs of change
- A solution-oriented individual with strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Master or Degree educated, fluent in English with additional European language highly beneficial
