As our Asset Specialist, you will establish an ITAM practice that will support colleagues managing network operations, software development cyber-security, change, procurement and service-delivery.
**The Key Requirements...**
- Understanding of the end to end lifecycle of hardware and software asset management plus key components of as a Service (aaS) licenced products.
- Build effective relationships within supply chain, IT, finance and our business units.
- Contributes to IT and supply-chain continuous improvement initiatives; finding opportunities to manage cost, optimise value and seek out efficiencies within processes.
- Prior experience within a software development business would be beneficial
**What You Will Do**
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assets, including acquisition, deployment, utilisation, maintenance, and retirement.
- Design, build and operate an asset library that includes relevant links to both configuration database (CMDB) and IT service management (ITSM) tools.
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses, entitlements, and deployments to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure software license compliance and identify potential risks or non-compliance issues.
- Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and workflows to optimise resource utilisation and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with supply chain specialists to negotiate licensing agreements.
- Track and monitor asset usage to identify opportunities for optimisation, consolidation, and cost savings.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on software asset management best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and industry standards related to software asset management.
- Work closely with IT colleagues and other cross-functional teams to ensure asset management practices are aligned with organisational goals and strategies. Collaborate with software vendors and licensing providers to stay informed about licensing models, changes, and updates.

**Clearances**
Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 5 years.
