We are Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) and we are looking for a hardworking, committed Healthcare Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming team here at Sandhurst Medical Centre, Royal Military Academy in Surrey.

**Job description**:
The Healthcare Assistant HCA will work as part of the multidisciplinary Primary Healthcare (PHC) team delivering general nursing care to patients at the Sandhurst Medical Centre.

They will assist in the delivery of patient care and other department related duties as directed by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

**Person specification**:
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic/written records in accordance with best practice.
- Scanning and supporting clinical administrative duties as required.
- Providing skilled evidence based care which adheres to agreed policies and procedures.
- Working with registered nurses to contribute to the assessment, delivery and evaluation of care.
- Actively participate in the implementation of evidence based practice in association with nursing colleagues.

**Desirable Experience**:
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Adult); experience in Primary Healthcare; A1 NVQ Assessor and experience of working with the military medical services.

Previous experience as an HCA and a willingness to undertake additional training as required.
