Sand, United Kingdom Peterborough City Council Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner or an experienced social worker looking to develop, to join our dynamic and enthusiastic specialist young people’s service in Peterborough.

We are a skilled and experienced team who are committed to making a difference to vulnerable young people by working creatively with adolescents, their families and their communities.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be expected to excel in your casework, take responsibility for practice development in the team, supervise students and/or newly qualified social workers and deputise for the team manager.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside partner agencies to shape our offer around vulnerable young people and to be at the forefront of developing practice to safeguard young people at risk of extra-familial harm. We believe that delivering our services well has the potential to transform the lives of children, young people and their families in Peterborough. We help children, young people and their families to build their resilience and community connections and empower them to find solutions to challenges they face. We understand that children and young people are not all the same, but they all deserve outstanding services.

We would like to welcome to our friendly and well-supported team, an experienced social worker who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, enthusiastic, passionate and ready for a new challenge

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Peterborough and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation and the communities we serve.
