Head of Warehousing

Willmotts Transport is one of the largest independent warehousing and distribution companies in the South West, based just outside of Shepton Mallet, near Bristol.

Due to continued success and growth, we are looking for a Head of Warehousing to join our friendly team. This role is suited to someone with great experience within the Warehousing/Logistics industry who is looking for their next step within a rapidly expanding business.

As Head of Warehousing, you will take responsibility across the Warehousing operations within a multi-user environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Senior Management Team, inclusive of board directors, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing and coordinating the warehousing operation and service level agreements
- Ensure that the operation is running cost effectively, identifying and implementing process improvements, efficiencies, and opportunities for optimisation
- Manage a team of circa 35+ employees across Warehousing
- Mitigate risk in current working practices to enable growth within the business
- Strong background in the Ambient Warehousing and Distribution Industry
- Responsible for the inventory management through your teams
- Accountable for staff development within the operation
- Site H&S control

**Experience required**:

- Experience within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain including experience across both Warehousing & Transport would be an advantage
- Experience and background in 3PL and 4PL, including e-commerce with fulfilment solutions
- Experience within a fast-expanding business and change management
- Experience within 3PL / Haulage environment previously
- An understanding of BRC and related certifications
- Must have a strong personality - authoritative & influential
