Adecco are assisting one of our Poole based manufacturing clients with their search for a Production Welder/Fabricator.

**PRODUCTION WELDER/FABRICATOR**

**Location**: Poole

**Salary**: £12 - £14 p/h

**Contract**:Permanent

**Hours**:Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:30. Friday 08:00 to 13:10 (total of 40 hours per week).

If you have experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment and experience working with machinery or within engineering, this could be the role for you.

**Requirements**:

- Counterbalance Forklift Truck: 1 year (preferred)
- Overhead Gantry Crane: 1 year (preferred)
- MIG Welding & Fabrication: 3 years (required)
- Read and work to technical fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Position and weld up any steel pipe, boss or plate, as indicated on the fabrication drawings and Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) - butt and fillet welds.
- Conducting visual quality inspections of welded components against quality requirements and specifications.
- Use of band saw, presses and other metalworking tooling and gas cutting equipment as required.
- Achieving fabrication timescales and production rates, whilst reducing re-work (right first time).
- Working with mínimal supervision, displaying a strong pride in one's work and good eye to detail.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment and tools, working to Company Quality, Safety and Environmental System requirements.
- Storing, handling and using all gas and chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets, CoSHH and DSEAR Assessments. Reporting any concerns or anomalies to the H&S Manager.
- Adhering to all Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work.
- Ad-hoc duties to assist the Welding Supervisor, Project Manager and Operations Director with the smooth running of the factory as required.
