**L&D Researcher**

This role is hybrid based, with typically 3 days required at site in Leamington Spa.
- **KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**_
- In conjunction with the L&D Manager - Strategy, define, implement, communicate, and evaluate the L&D Research Strategy.
- Use research tools and techniques to understand the current and future learning market.
- Conduct desktop research to gather, appraise, and summarise information relating to current and future learning trends.
- Provide market intelligence to the L&D Manager - Strategy, for the purposes of strategy development.
- Develop insights reports that effectively represent market developments, and concisely present to key stakeholders.
- Network and build alliances with external organisations to gather data and secure research partnerships, undertaking site visits as required.
- Introduce external contacts to internal stakeholders where business opportunities are identified.
- Interrogate audiences through the design, implementation, and evaluation of surveys, polls, roundtables, etc, to inform Ashorne Hill’s future developments in learning.
- Monitor the market by keeping abreast of the latest developments in the press and attending webinars, conferences, and events.
- In conjunction with the L&D Content Writer, contribute thought leadership content for white papers, research papers, and L&D awards and events.
- In conjunction with the Lead L&D Developer, contribute thought leadership content for new learning programme development.
- Establish, maintain, and continually grow an effective database of research.
- **KNOWLEDGE AND EXPEREINCE **_

This role would suit:

- a competent researcher, with a good understanding of applied research methods, and the ability to use a range of research techniques to a high standard in an applied research environment;
- OR a thoughtful HR practitioner with a good understanding of L&D issues and experience of developing evidence based processes and practices;
- OR a competent L&D consultant with a track record of applied consultancy skills supporting employers to improve Learning and Development practices.
- a good understanding and knowledge in current L&D issues
- fluent and confident communications skills - able to engage with a wide range of people including senior practitioners
- Graduate level, or a degree in a related field. A PHD is advantageous.
- the ability to write well and appeal to informed HR and L&D managers and employers;
- the ability to use a wide range of research methodologies to a high standard;
- the ability to write well and disseminate research findings to a wide range of audiences in an engaging way;
- the ability to develop an understanding and knowledge of major aspects of Learning and development practice and start to become externally recognised as an expert; and
- the ability to win work from customers, to organise, manage and lead projects to tight deadlines, including the ability to manage staff, clients and budgets.
