Jefferson Wells are keen to hear from both Law graduates & Commercial Contracts professionals to work for a global, market leading Defence consultancy as a Commercial Officer on a permanent basis.

The consultancy are specialists in Engineering, science & technology, predominantly in the defence sector. They provide a wide range of services such as commercial shipping, environmental services & critical infrastructure to name a few. Your role will reportinto the Senior Commercial Partner and is responsible for providing commercial advice and guidance to the Defence & Security business area, including generating framework compliant proposals.

What will you be doing?
- Supporting generation of new projects & change proposals
- Writing reports, recording & reviewing of proposal progress, from entry to inception
- Escalation of commercial & contractual issues/concerns to senior management
- Identifying foreseeable risks in relation to generated proposals
- Act as portfolio office commercial lead for proposals & contract changes + more

We are looking for
- Law degree OR commercial contracts experience (ideally MOD) OR CIPS qualification
- Understanding of different contractual agreements such as contracts, confidentiality agreements, export control agreements & teaming agreements to name a few
- Understanding of contractual clauses relating to IPR, ITAR & government transparency requirements
- Experience of managing KPI framework contracts
- Effective communicator & experience of liaising with wider procurement, project & commercial teams
