The Buckingham Enterprise & Innovation Unit (BEIU) is a department specialised in working with students, staff, and external stakeholders to encourage and develop a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, develop links with external customers and stakeholders and further the innovation and impact of the University of Buckingham (UoB). BEIU’s work is integral to The University of Buckingham ambition to provide students with a personalised learning experience and plays an essential part in the university’s mission to implement an enterprising and innovative approach to Higher Education.

Under the supervision of the Vinson Centre’s Director, for one day a week the role involves the administration of the Vinson Centre, including its finances and the coordination of its main events and agenda. This is a key post to support the Director of the Centre in the smooth running of all processes involved in the Centre’s activities. Parts of the role include liaising with external parties, such as liaising with other HE institutions, students, and academics from other institutions. It also involves bookkeeping and events organisation, as well as outreach.

**_Key Responsibilities _**

To manage the administration of the Enterprise and innovation hub bookings and to actively input into the development of services. To ensure that the processes and procedures that have been put into place are updated, reviewed, and improved as the services grow.

Be the first point of contact for all enquiries from our external and internal stakeholders - both verbally and in writing. The post holder will be working in collaboration with the Vinson Centre for Entrepreneurship and Economics, which makes planning and managing your own workload crucial. As the first point of contact for both units you will be responsible for deciding when and how to respond to queries for information or assistance in conjunction with assessing priorities and organising the order in which tasks are completed, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.

Responsible of executing, organising, and supporting the planning process of hosting events in campus and online, as well as providing accurate information to the manager and directors to streamline the decision-making process when organising events, forums, conferences, entrepreneurial activities, teams' meetings, marking and moderation of assignments, innovative workshops and training events. (Enterprise 4 All)

Asset management for the Enterprise and Innovation unit, to ensure procedures are followed/developed and to deal with complex challenges that may arise liaising with students and other stakeholders that might benefit from using the equipment. To train staff and students on how to use the equipment.

To maintain databases (Bookkeeping) and carry out analysis to highlight trends for consideration. Liaising with the University’s Finance department regarding Purchase Orders, invoices and revenues of the Centre and the Unit. Collation of information and keeping an up-to-date data contact list for the Centre. Managing the financial records for Buckingham Business Enterprises Ltd.

Utilise computer systems (such as SITs and Document Manager) to find and update trainee information as well as proficiency on Microsoft office apps.

To support the enterprise and innovation manager with project management i.e.. Planning, updating KANBAN boards, communicating updates, carrying out project research, updating timelines, taking minutes, and communicating those to the team. Project management experience desirable.
