The Highways Administrator will provide essential administrative support to the Highways Department, ensuring efficient and effective operations. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing documentation, and assisting in project management tasks to facilitate the smooth functioning of highway maintenance and construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. *Administrative Support:*
- Maintain and organise files, records, and documentation related to highway projects.
- Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the Highways Department staff.

2. Project Coordination:

- Assist in the planning and execution of highway projects.
- Monitor project timelines, permits, and deliverables.
- Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

3.*Data Management:

- Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate and analyse reports from various data sources.
- Track and report on project progress and performance metrics.

4. Customer Service:

- Handle inquiries and complaints from the public regarding highway issues.
- Provide information and assistance to residents, contractors, and other stakeholders.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare and submit required documentation for permits and approvals.

Qualifications:

- Experience: No experience needed, on the job training
- Skills:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices is a plus.

Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
