Anze Ltd based in Sutton in Ashfield are a leader in the PPE market with over 25 years in the field.
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.
Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will also run the Xero accounting software program to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense and credit card vouchers and receipts. A successful accounting clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
**Responsibilities**
Provide accounting and clerical support
Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner (usually monthly)
Handling sales invoices, receipts, income and payments
Paying weekly wages, paying suppliers
Preparing financial statements to reflect income and expenses
Completing tax returns, such as value-added tax returns
Assisting with the preparation of annual statements
Reconciling bank statements and the general ledger
Performing administrative duties, including filing, photocopying and taking minutes during meetings
Calculating and entering expenditures
Daily enter key data of financial transactions in Xero
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
Providing financial data or reporting to management for audit purposes
**Requirements and skills**
Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Clerk in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
Competency in Xero, MS Office
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
Aptitude for numbers
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Data entry and word processing skills
Excellent organisational and administration skills
