An opportunity has arisen for a Welding Inspector / Responsible Welding Coordinator to become part of the Quality Team with a well known client in the Ferryhill area. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will provide support to the Manufacturing Managerand Welding Supervisors regarding all aspects of welding discipline.

The main focus of the role is to develop, implement, and control welding procedures, the development of welding personnel and increase the focus on quality, through a right first-time approach. You will play a major role in the development of welding personnelto ensure product is manufactured in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

You will also be responsible for maintaining the companies welding accreditations, ISO 3834 and BS EN 15085, including taking the lead during weld audits carried out by external certification bodies and customers.

Other duties include, but are not limited to, liaising with customers during weld audits, carrying out all types welding inspections, providing the appropriate training to relevant personnel, the provision of SOPs and ensuring all appropriate records aremaintained.

Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 12:30 pm
