The Flat Baker has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team

We are a small bakery in the heart of Ancoats, specialised in viennoiserie, particularly our stuffed croissants and well known for our Brazilian twist and creativity in the products. It's a fast paced environment, but very friendly and respectful with our staff and clients. We are a very small team, full of beans The company is in a very exciting moment of growth and expansion, and that's the opportunity for you to design a long term career with us.
- Knowledge (at least 1 year experience) in making creams, custards, butter creams, meringues, and keen to learn our own recipes.
- Experience in using pipping bags and pastry decoration.
- Experience in making sponge cakes and other deserts
- Interest in learning lamination and viennoiserie making (full training will be provided, but some knowledge is desirable).
- You will assist our team and help out on whatever tasks they need you (make creams, sponge cakes, help with the dough, roll croissants, put products to proofing, egg wash, shape pasteis de nata, shape cheese balls...)
- You will hep to maintain our working space clean according to the food hygiene standards (level 2 food hygiene is desirable)
- You will follow up and control the stock along the team, making shopping lists, labelling, rotation system, etc

Previous professional experience in a hospitality environment is necessary. We will consider all levels (from home bakers, to someone with knowledge in lamination and viennoiserie).

The salary starts with the minimum wage, but it will be reviewed in the future. We are also considering a better offer depending on experience.

Part-time: 25-30 initially / can become full-time in a short future.

We are located in Ancoats (M46AY) and the job is from Tuesdays - Saturdays (possibly 1 Sunday a month in a weekly rota
