**Reporting to the Program Manager of the Fuel Business Unit the Project Planner shall be responsible**
**for providing project planning expertise for the delivery of a number of Nuclear Fuel growth projects within the UK.**

**The project planner will possess the skills and experience needed to successfully manage schedules across our tenders, projects and programmes, as required by the project management team. They will be responsible for implementing, monitoring/controlling and closing out project schedules.**

**The role will also include the supporting of the Westinghouse teams with the creation, validation and presentation of new funding requests and commercial bids.**

**Your Day to Day**:

- Collaboration with the Westinghouse Business Units teams to support the business present a high-quality output to the internal stakeholders inclusive of project schedules, project plans, deliverables, risk registers period end reports and will support the internal and external auditing of project performance
- Developing, monitoring, updating and amending project schedules across the full project lifecycle (including bid/tender stages)
- This will require a sound understanding of technical project development and the ability to understand and challenge the delivery logic required to achieve an efficient and optimized use of resource
- The role will require close liaison with the project, finance, and legal representatives within Westinghouse
- It will also require the co-ordination and presentation of Westinghouse performance to external stakeholders
- The provision of accurate and timely project reports and advice to the management team whilst ensuring the contract achieves the appropriate commercial targets
- Assessing robustness and validity of subcontractor programmes and progress claimed
- Management of risk and opportunities during delivery of the project’s objectives
- Able to pull cost and earned value reports from SAP and other sources and develop a portfolio style report
- Supporting the delivery project management team in assessing robustness and validity of subcontractor programmes and progress claimed
- Administering the programme to meet NEC 3 & NEC 4 contract requirements
- Providing programme impact information to the PM and QS to support claims, variations and compensation events
- Visits to Springfields to meet with the Project Delivery Teams and Finance. Attending regular project progress meeting, including client facing and other stakeholders

**What you need to be successful in this role**:

- Educated to bachelor degree level in Quantity Surveying, project management or engineering (or other built environment related discipline)
- At least 5 years of experience of working in high value high complexity commercial and project environment.
- A further two years in a planning role with the use of Primavera P6 as the primary software tool.
- UK Government and Nuclear sector experience is desirable but not essential
- Member of RICS, APM, PMI or other professional project management institution is desirable but not essential
- Strong analytical, communication and team skills are essential to be successful in this role.
- Ability to interpret complex project scenarios and provide self-developed proposals, problem solving and best possible outcome proposals.
- Maintains access to and credibility with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Combines realism with openness and clarity of expression to communicate the objectives effectively.
- Has integrity, resilience and the ability to think things through.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project & Excel
- Flexible approach to working, self-motivated, and willing to travel to customer’s or vendors premises
- Comprehensive and demonstrable expertise in the use of Primavera P6. Training and experience in the use of SAP and Microsoft Project would be advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, PowerPoint & Excel. Proficient in the use of Power BI would be advantageous
- Able to perform quantitative risk analysis of schedules would be advantageous
