The post holder will carry out a wide range of administrative actions relating to the lawful detention of patients both in hospital and in the community. As part of their role they will be responsible for overseeing the administration procedures of first stage detentions (Emergency and Short Term) which may be carried out by the Clerical Officers. These are responsible duties which Mental Health legislation has delegated to the Health Records department. The post holder will take a lead role in preparing the health record for Subject Access Requests under the General Data Protection Regulations. The post holder will take responsibility along with the Supervisor for ensuring high quality and accurate data is held by the department (both electronic and manual records) and be proactive in carrying out regular data quality checks and undertaking data cleansing
The post holder will take responsibility for the day to day work of the department in the absence of the Health Records Supervisor. This post is permanent
