Haverfordwest, United Kingdom Pembrokeshire Care Society Full time

We are a small team based in Haverfordwest working with clients across Pembrokeshire who are already homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Clients who approach us are vulnerable and probably at the lowest point of their lives. We refer to this as our triage stage, identifying any barriers to housing, maximising income, and increasing opportunities to accommodation.

If you are a compassionate person and resilient to challenges, who can guide and signpost those who we work with to resolve their housing needs, this may be the job for you.

Our team of 4 or 5 work with our other in-house teams to alleviate and prevent homelessness.

Occasionally, we don’t have the all the answers and must manage client’s expectations of their future housing options.

Our working relationship with PCC Housing Team, Dyfed-Powys Police, Justice Wales, PATCH and other third sector agencies are integral to the services we provide.

In-house training will be provided with safeguarding being a priority for clients and staff.

Due to the nature of our work supporting Rough Sleepers, we work out of hours on a rotation which may include evenings or weekends. This is always accompanied visits and never lone working.
