We are now recruiting a housekeeping supervisor to join the team. **What is the role**

Based across our sites within Sheffield and Rotherham and reporting to the head of facilities, your main tasks will be the daily supervision of the housekeeping team and liaising with both the head of facilities and facilities coordinator as and when required. You will also be expected to pick up any housekeeping duties on all sites as required.

Your priority will be to review, improve, set and maintain cleaning schedules and rotas for each site and to assess the housekeeping teams skills and knowledge. Training for the team should be organised and implemented accordingly and on an ongoing basis.

Additional tasks and responsibilities will include:

- first level people development and performance management, including the housekeepers annual and half year Gripple Spirit reviews and regular 1:1s
- control of holidays, absences and updating of our HR software and Mitre Finch for the team and completing return to work interviews where required
- ordering, stock control and usage control of consumables
- organising absence cover - including covering housekeeping duties
- liaising with the head of facilities/facilities coordinator to report repairs as and when required
- Scanning documentation to SharePoint as and when required

**Working hours**

The position will entail working 8.00am-4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday. However, shift work will also be required when covering other members of the team, as well as possible weekend work to meet the demands of the business. A flexible, can do attitude is therefore paramount.

**Who you are**

To be considered for an interview, you must be flexible to work between sites and have the following:

- Strong people skills with an ability to lead and motivate a team and muck in when required
- Enthusiasm with a good work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills
- An organised approach and ability to cope well under pressure
- Good problem-solving capacity and ability to work on own initiative
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word
- You will be expected to travel between all Gripple Ltd sites, so you will need to be in possession of a full UK/EU driving licence (petrol will be claimed back)

A formal diploma or equivalent training certificate in training would also be an advantage.
