We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service facility. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation, presentation, service, and cleaning of the site to the company’s standard and the client’s satisfaction.

To excel in this position, you must ensure that all company and statutory regulations pertaining to health and safety, hygiene, and fire are adhered to at all times. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene, in compliance with company policies and procedures.

As a Food Service Assistant, you will be required to wear the correct standard of dress or uniform at all times, reflecting the professionalism and image of our company. It is essential that you act upon all company and client contracts in a manner that best serves the interests of the organisation.

In addition to these responsibilities, we expect you to maintain a happy and helpful manner and attitude throughout your working hours. Exceptional customer service is a key aspect of this role, and your positive demeanour will contribute to a pleasant dining experience for our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To assist as directed with all aspects of food service preparation and presentation
- To serve customers in the appropriate manner
- To lead and provide food and beverages at service counters and to ensure sufficient supplies throughout the service periods
- To take money at cash desks, ensure current prices are charged and reconcile cash takings where appropriate
- To ensure that the meals and services comply with the agreed budgetary standard and cost.
- To ensure restaurant tables and service areas are left clean and adequately stocked during service times and replenished as required
- To ensure your immediate working area is clean and tidy at all times
- To undertake all aspects in cleaning equipment, walls, fixtures and fittings, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware etc according to cleaning rotas or as required and directed

- Clean and well presented
- Pleasant and engaging team member
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Previous food service experience
- Ability to operate a till
- COSHH and Manual handling
- Good communicator
