When you join our team, you will become involved in supporting or delivering some of the biggest and most complex machinery installation and relocation projects in the world. Our people are experts in a diverse range of industries including automotive, aerospace,infrastructure, print, packaging, FMCG, metals and many more.

**Role Responsibilities**
- To support the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies to support all Engineering operations
- To ensure that through procurement and commercial arrangements, organisational and service objectives are delivered, efficiencies and wider value is achieved, and compliance with relevant policy and procurement legislation is maintained
- To have responsibility for supplier management and purchasing of external labour and general items such as electrical/mechanical parts, materials, equipment etc, in close partnership with Engineering Managers, Resource/Project Scheduler and project teamswithin designated areas
- To support the overall business strategy and plan for the Preferred Suppliers List, supplier consolidation and best cost and service level
- To maintain relationships and manage the performance of preferred suppliers and external labour(including subcontractors) within defined parameters using the Quality-Cost-Delivery-Time-Safety (QCDTS) framework
- To produce reports of supplier and external labour performance as per Business and Senior Management requirements
- To review costs and ensure timely assessment of the quality of products and services received from key suppliers; liaise closely with the engineering teams to maximise discounts with key suppliers
- To support timely delivery of resources directly to site with Resource/Project Schedulers and Project Teams; Ensure Labour, Plant, Services and Materials arrive on time, in full, to required quality, scope and specifications
- To liaise with Finance colleagues to ensure invoices received from key suppliers match prices and specifications on purchase orders
- To develop savings strategies within defined category areas
- To issue Application Forms to Sub Contractors; carry out interviews and support the induction process
- To raise Purchase Orders (convert PRs to POs) using the Focal Point system in line with Company Processes and Procedures

**Role Requirements**

Required:

- Previous procurement/buying experience in engineering operations or related field
- Enterprise resource planning/business systems experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to self-manage and collaborate with stakeholders
- Good commercial and finance experience/awareness including negotiation, cost reviews and budgeting
- Excellent project management skills
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and Risk Management processes
- Experience of process or systems change or improvement

Desirable:

- Knowledge of Fork Lift’s, Versa Lifts and their uses
