We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and proactive individual to our Biologics co-ordinator vacancy within the rheumatology team. Your job role will mean that you will build good close working relationships with the nursing team, consultants, medical and admin teams. You will need good communication skills both written and verbal. You will have the ability to use your initiative and work independently as well as working within the Team. You will need to have excellent data management skills, as this role does have an element of Data entry and processing.

You will be working within a small busy team. The working hours for this post are 30 hours per week. The weekly work pattern can be flexible in line with the needs of the service.

Your Responsibilities

What you’ll do
- Implement all administrative processes along the patient pathway to ensure the patient’s journey is managed efficiently, smoothly and in accordance with targets and agreed timescales.
- Setting up clinics in liaison with consultants/Nurse Specialist team
- Managing clinic capacity in liaison with consultants/Nurse Specialist team
- To receive all telephone enquiries courteously and efficiently from patients, carers and external agencies in relation to hospital admissions, appointments and general enquiries, ensuring that accurate records, both manual and electronic, are maintained and appropriate action is taken in a timely manner.
- To receive and process all incoming correspondence, paper and electronic, ensuring it reaches the appropriate place within the required deadlines

What we’re looking for
- Educated to A level or NVQ 3 in business.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft office and Excel
- Previous clerical/admin experience
