**Role**:Production Planner

**Site**: Lossie Seafoods, Arbroath

**Shift Pattern**:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

**Pay**: Salary and benefits to be negotiable depending on entry-level skills and/or experience.

**Job Overview**:
The purpose of the role is to efficiently plan all processing activities, including maintaining all systems and planning processes as required as well as calculating and ordering top level raw materials.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Plan and schedule production lines and work stations as required;
- Plan and schedule raw material requirements;
- Liaise with production managers and supervisors, identify any threats to the plan and help devise solutions;
- Ensure planned production achieves the most cost effective utilization of time, labour, materials and packaging. Review and challenge production schedules to ensure best practice;
- Effective and timely communication of promotions and product changes to the production team;
- Balance, control and management of all inventory (finished goods/raw/WIP);
- Maintain and update all data as required in Planning files and schedules;
- Identify and progress any cost saving opportunities;
- Attend meetings, taking accurate notes and relaying relevant information back to the team;
- Stand in for other members of the Planning team;
- Previous experience in similar role, preferably within FMCG
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience dealing with customers
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the business
- Highly computer literate with excellent knowledge of Excel
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines
- High Attention to detail
- Highly organized with high literacy and numeracy
- Problem solving
