We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Early Years practitioners to join our team.

We have two positions of 24 - 37 hours plus a week

**Role**:
To provide a high standard for all children in the setting

To build and maintain strong parent partnerships to enable all children the best outcomes.

To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all children can play, develop and learn.

**Responsible to**: Manger/Deputy Manager

**Main duties**:
To effectively deliver the EYFS, ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met.

To keep records of your key children's development and learning journey and share with parents, carers and other key adults.

Work as part of a team and support co-workers

To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to day caring and early learning needs

To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories

To advise manager/deputy of any concerns

To be involved in out of hours activities e.g. training, meetings and events held by the nursery.

To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed

To work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the setting's philosophy is fulfilled

To read and adhere to the settings policies and procedures

To develop your role in the team

To keep completely confidential any information regarding children, their families or other staff as part of your role

To be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times, both in work hours and outside

To support nursery assistants, students and volunteers

To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

**Personal specification**:
Qualification: Level 3 or equivalent in childcare.

**Knowledge and understanding**:A knowledge and understanding of room organisation, learning strategies and working with a free flow environment; EYFS welfare, learning and development requirements; Planning for learning in the EYFS; The statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEN and Child Protection; The use of ICT to effectively support the teaching and learning and to monitor children’s progress.

**Skills**:Ability to: Develop good personal relationships within the team; Establish and develop effective relationships with parents and the community; Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to parents and children; Deal with conflict in an appropriate manner; Be reflective and learn from past experiences; Show resilience and an ability to work under pressure; Promote the nursery’s aims positively; Demonstrate excellent IT skills.

**Salary**: £13,104.00-£20,200.00 per year
