Reporting to the Head of Demand Planning, the Demand Planner will be responsible for the Demand Planning process and execution of an agreed category of products, with responsibility for all forecasting activities associated with customer and product plans for those categories. The Demand planner creates and maintains all forecast models incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from all available external and internal sources.

**Key responsibilities**
- Responsible for managing, maintaining & assuring the monthly Demand Planning process.
- Develops demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation
- Responsible for maintaining the Demand Planning system
- Providing all statistical forecasts at all levels, from top level to individual SKU
- Maintains new product introduction, product lifecycle, promotional initiative plans and assumptions.
- Models all alternative demand scenarios
- Contributes to weekly Forecast Error root causing analysis process
- Contributes to all improvement initiatives to advance forecast accuracy
- Responsible for liaising with Product Planning & Supply Planning teams on data and information flows to support end to end integrated planning
- Contributes to preparation of all input, analysis & facilitating the monthly Demand Review
- Responsible for analysing all key customer/product/segment trends
- Participates in business plan optimisation, alignment and gap closing through contributing to the Integrated Reconciliation process
- Supports a collaborative & consensus forecasting approach
- Contributes to maintaining all master data associated with Demand Planning
- Supports Head of Demand Planning in development and implementation of Demand Management strategy
- Sales & Marketing activity is aligned to the Demand Management process
- Market insight and assumptions are well established & driving commercial plans
- Planning ‘bias’ is eliminated - aiming for zero forecast bias
- Collaborative planning agreements are in place with key stakeholders
- Unconstrained/consensus demand plan agreed monthly through a formal Demand Review process
- Demand plans are effectively integrated with Product/Supply planning processes

**Person Specification**

Knowledge and skills
- A technical expert
- Significant experience of Demand planning and planning techniques - truly understands statistical forecasting techniques.
- Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Experienced in the use of using ERP systems as part of driving data driven decision making is required.
- End to End Supply chain knowledge is desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
