Education Outreach Specialist

**Opportunity**
We are currently recruiting for an Education Outreach Specialist, who will be responsible for delivering Hinkley Point C’s (HPC) education outreach programme in alignment with the HPC workforce development strategy commitments.
Reporting to the Education & Skills Delivery Manager and working closely with the Skills Development Lead, you will oversee the delivery of specific HPC Education programmes (such as Inspire and Young HPC) to the required scope, quality, time and budget.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Coordinate and oversee delivery of Education Programmes (inc Young HPC & Inspire), in line with agreed workforce development strategy (WDS) objectives including:
- Develop and deliver a programme of exclusive Young HPC content/events.
- Launch the YHPC webpage and exclusive content inc social media content.
- Develop and deliver Young HPC social media campaigns for post exam/progression
periods.
- Act as the main point of contact for EDF, contractors and partners.
- Maintain and develop an effective post 16 network, including universities and FE providers, both within and outside of the HPC 90 minute commute area.
- Deliver a multi-channel Education Outreach Comms Strategy including:
- Develop, maintain and publish an Education Outreach activity and promotion timetable.
- Deliver a new ‘Routes to Employment’ web page and social media content, in
- Liaison with HPC comms and EAU colleagues.
- Research and implement talent pool comms channels including a replacement for TikTok to reach specific audiences.
- Research and produce promotional case studies for use in comms and social media posts, in liaison with the EDF/HPC comms teams using the ‘Helping Britain to Achieve Net Zero’ tag.
- Create exciting and engaging regular social media content, liaising with external and internal stakeholders as required including: HPC / EDF comms / teams / visit centre team / T1 partners (inc EDF early careers) / Young people employed as Apprentices / T level placement students / Supported Trainees etc.
- Oversee / coordinate the delivery of Education Outreach events / activity in liaison with the Skills Development Lead and Education Outreach Coordinator to:
- Deliver virtual work experience events
- Support National careers week activity.
- Develop and deliver effective outreach promotion and activity to attract adults to the Hinkley Support Operative Bronze training programme.
- Attract hard to reach groups including excluded pupils, young parents and offenders returning to the workforce.
- Promote work placement programme opportunities
- Support EDF Early Careers team educational setting activity as required.
- Oversee the effective delivery of the HPC Volunteering Network to support outreach activity in liaison with the Education Outreach Coordinator and the Skills Development Lead including:
- Content creation eg: volunteering newsletters
- Recruitment of and support for, the HPC Volunteering network.
- Engage regularly with stakeholder groups to represent the HPC project (under the guidance of the Education and Skills Delivery Manager) and use information gained to steer activities to meet WDS Objectives.

- HotSW LEP Construction Skills forum
- Somerset NEET’s forums
- T1 employer forum
- Maintain data systems and produce Education Outreach data reports as required to support the Education and Skills Delivery Manager / Head of the EAU to report on KPI’s and objectives (including DCO statutory reporting, internal reporting and financial reporting).
