**Role - Inspector**
- The purpose of this role is to support the Team Leader with the manufacturing unit in achieving plant operational targets, product quality, customer service and health & safety objectives.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Participate in team activities, utilising appropriate process, technical and engineering skills to achieve manufacturing, quality and service targets.
- Actively contributes to all team activities aimed at improving plant performance through implementation of continuous improvement, problem solving, team building and personal self-development.
- Suggest improvements to plant, process and operating procedures.
- Reacts to process, engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilises the knowledge, experience and skills of own and other team members to initiate corrective action.
- Operates flexibility and safely within the team carrying out activities under direction of the team leader within area of competence, capability and training.
- Contributes to initiatives related to improving health and safety performance, taking an active part in risk assessment/hazard identification for all operational activities and taking account of appropriate COMAH regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications /Experience Required / Person Attributes**:
- An appreciation of health, safety and environmental issues in an engineering business.
- Detailed knowledge of Quality techniques, processes, standards, inspection and NDE techniques (DPI/MPI)
- Proficient Use of Microsoft Packages
- MPI Level 2 (Magnetic Particle Inspection)
- Visual Welding Inspector - CSWIP 3.0 & 3.1
- LPI Level 2 (Liquid Penetrants Inspection)
