We are looking for Residential Childcare Workers to work in our Children’s Homes in Hinckley and Melton Mowbray.
**About the Role**:
You will be a member of a responsible team in charge of the day to day care of young people with Emotional and Behavioural difficulties within a Childrens home.
You would be expected to act as a positive role model in ensuring their physical, social and emotional needs are being met whilst being flexible, dynamic and engaged in supporting the young people in our care.
You will be expected to proactively encourage young people to participate in a variety of opportunities that are healthy, meaningful, give them a sense of achievement, and that help build their self esteem.
You will actively contribute to care plans, share in report writing and monitoring and participate in housekeeping duties. You will also work directly with families, social workers and other relevant people where appropriate.
You will be expected to work in line with UCS’ policies and procedures, and The Children’s Homes Regulations and maintain high professional standards at all times.
We operate on a shift basis and include work on weekends and bank holidays

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who is caring, committed, friendly and mature in outlook.
You will need to be able to work well under pressure and adapt to quickly changing circumstances.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the resilience to manage challenging behaviour.
You will need a full UK manual driving licence.
Ideally You will have a QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
We want you to develop both as a Childcare Worker and in your career generally, so we provide a range of Training and Development opportunities to support you.
