We have an opportunity for a temporary Buyer/Planner to join Terumo BCT- Larne Site, to support our business expansion and Procurement / Supply Chain activities.

The Buyer / Planner will manage the procurement and supply of materials to support the factory production plan. Help deliver cost and inventory reduction programmes to positively impact financial performance.

Main Tasks & Duties

Manage a portfolio of vendors across a number of commodities to drive cost and service improvements throughout the supply chain.
Execute the SIOP & demand plan to ensure materials supply to feed factory builds.
Conduct supplier reviews to help maintain supplier on time delivery performance, focusing on service.
Execute forecasts & PO’s to the supply base in a timely manner to ensure flexible production planning & supply to meet factory requirements.
Utilize SAP to generate reports & extract data to manage forecasting, supply and planning of material to and from the factory.
Ensure accurate pricing and supply data is maintained on SAP for purchases.
Identify opportunities to achieve positive cost savings across the supply chain.
Develop strong relationships with other internal functions including Quality, Logistics, Engineering, Production and Sales teams.
Manage KPI data and measurement to relation to Supply Chain goals and objectives.
Any other duties as may be reasonably required by your Manager from time to time

Essential Criteria & Skills

3rd-level qualification in Business, Management or suitably related discipline
Minimum three year’s experience in a similar role
Proficient in use of MS Office
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Criteria & Skills

Experience gained within a hi-volume manufacturing environment
Chemistry / Medical device background
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Strong Excel skills
Experience of SAP including reporting
Strong data management & analytical skills
Membership of CIPS

Ability to work on own initiative.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders

Additional Information

Able to work additional hours as and when required
Ability to travel to supplier locations when required
