**TRANSPORT PLANNER**

J & J Ward Limited are a family owned business based in North Yorkshire and have been operating for over 60 years. As we continue to expand we have an opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join our busy team based in Bedale.

You will be required to build strong relationships with our customers, suppliers and hauliers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage a team of own fleet and contracted sub contractors vehicles, including planning routes and allocation of workload
- Plan loads to ensure deliveries and collections are on time
- Operational Transport Compliance, including drivers hours legislation
- Deal and resolve and service issues or incidents
- Submit Transport updates to the Senior Management Team
- Health and Safety

**Skills and experience required**
- **Previous Transport Planning Experience Essential**:

- 1 year experience in similar Transport Planner role
- Excellent communications skill
- Experience of routing vehicles and excellent geographic knowledge of the UK
- Experience of building relations with both customers, suppliers and drivers
- Strong organisational skills with a flexible working attitude
- Bing able to work under pressure and prioritise workload are essential
- Good PC skills including Microsoft packages and be willing to learn our bespoke systems.
- Be reliable and conscientious
- CPC Management Qualification or be willing to work towards preferred but not essential

Working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm addition hours as and when required
- **Salary: to be negotiated, depending on experience**

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
