Kitchen Designer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family run business in **Ashby-de-la-Zouch** who has over 20 years’ experience within the kitchen and furniture industry. All their client’s furniture is truly bespoke, designed, crafted, and manufactured in the UK.

Although the main part of your role will be **kitchen design**, our client is looking for someone to take care of the office, working on any administrative tasks, that might be needed.

Working for a small business it is essential that you have a can-do attitude, as the need to help on other areas of the business may also be required during busy times.

**What we need from you as a Kitchen Designer**:

- Kitchen design **experience is essential**:

- Must live **locally to Ashby-de-la-Zouch** and able to commute to this area easily
- Hold a UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle, insured for business use
- A willingness and a desire to learn
- Team player but also able to work alone
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Satisfactory level of English and Maths

**Desirable**:

- Experience with ArtiCAD

**What the role involves**:

- Designing and quoting for bespoke kitchens, bedrooms and other bespoke items that may be required by the customer
- Liaising with the workshop to make sure all products are correct and made in time for fitting
- Visiting the customers property or building sites for measuring purposes
- Keeping the office diary up to date and managing the installation diary
- Keeping customer files up to date
- Keeping employee files up to date - including making note of any staff sickness and holidays
- Paying, filing, and sending invoices
- Chasing payments
- Ordering products
- Liaising with traders, reps, and suppliers
- Managing the standards of the showroom and general cleanliness of the office and showroom

**Salary**:£25,000 - £27,000 per year - depending on experience**.**

**Hours**:Working full time, 37 hours per week. Monday 8am - 5pm, Tuesday 9am - 4pm, Wednesday 8am - 5pm, Thursday 9am - 4pm and Friday 8.30am - 4pm - hours of work can be negotiated. The occasional Saturday working is also required.
