**The team**

ITV is the biggest commercial television network in the UK, broadcasting some of the most talked about television programmes across the globe. Our ITV Commercial team is responsible for bringing in the £1.9bn worth of advertising that helps fund ITV's programming. However, our Commercial team isn’t just about advertising sales jobs, you’ll need to know the broadcasting and online markets inside out. **The role**

This is a great opportunity for a Midweight Creative/Copywriter - someone who has already gained vast experience in the creative industry - ideally in a creative agency (or in-house) creating award-winning integrated campaigns across a mix of sectors.

You will help the team come up with big ideas that live across ITV platforms such as ITVX. It’s about building brilliant integrated campaigns - both horizontal and vertical integration of brands through creative partnerships. You will also help to create compelling scripts and pitch presentations so we can sell our ideas creatively and with maximum impact. You will play a crucial role in helping us build a great reputation for the Creative Development team and achieve creative fame - both internally at ITV and externally with agencies and clients

**Some Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities...**
- Taking a clear brief and ensuring you understand what’s required
- Working hands-on on a diverse range of briefs in any given week
- Collaborating at the right times with the right teams on every brief and also getting ideas sense checked
- Capturing your thinking into the pitch deck (to align with strategy) and presenting ideas internally and externally (agencies and clients)
- Working collaboratively with other managers across the Business Development teams to gain a good understanding of all our brands and categories
- Working collaboratively with the Client Strategy team to gain a good understanding of customer behaviour and viewing habits
- Building a strong knowledge base of ITV products, programmes and platforms and keep up to date with ITV’s evolving platforms
- Build a good understanding of ‘horizontal integration’ (where we take a single advertiser and embed them into a show using different ways, i.e, sponsorship, show IP, Product placement, talent, branded content etc.)
- Build a good understanding of ‘vertical integration’ (where we take a single programme's multiple assets and align them to different brands)

**Skills you’ll need **(minimum criteria)
- Must have creative training - demonstrable copywriting/script writing skills and great creative discipline around it
- A creative portfolio with examples of campaigns (including TV ads)
- Proven experience of coming up with a big, overarching idea and building a campaign around it that drives revenue and fame
- Must be a fast learner with good presentation skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good commercial understanding that ideas have to drive revenue for ITV
