**Salary**:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 2 £ 21,318.00 pro rata, per annum, plus enhancement

**Hours/Contract**:Permanent, Full Time

**What we are looking for**:

- Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised
- A Good range of cooking skills and a passion for food
- Experience and knowledge of working in a catering department/kitchen
- Knowledge of maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and hygienic environment
- Awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace

The Marie Curie Hospice provides support for patients and their loved ones with high quality care in a comfortable environment in West Midlands Hospice.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in the daily provision of all catering services at the Hospice, working to ensure that we maintain high standards of food hygiene, and our commitment to providing a consistently high-quality food service to our patients, visitors, staff and volunteers.

You will be a vital member of the catering team, contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen and you must be able to undertake general kitchen duties and food preparation and cook simple meals under direction of the Head Chef. You will need to be flexible, well presented and highly organized.
