**Drilling Supervisor** (offshore)**

Offshore Great Yarmouth, North Sea

**£800-1000pd (PAYE / Umbrella INSIDE IR35)**

14 / 14 rotation

Offshore Drilling Supervisor (Day time) to support the Operations Support team and specifically the operations for P&A wells in the Hewett Decommissioning project. The position is required on a 12 months temporary basis and it is required ASAP as the current incumbent has resigned and has left already. The position will work on a rotational shift 14-14 days and will be based on a Valaris 72 platform.

**Purpose**:

- To Provide Engineering support for planning preparation, and reviewing drilling & completion and abandonment operations.
- Ensure that all operations are safely planned and executed.
- Ensure that, drilling & completion and abandonment are prepared and executed within the defined and authorised program and budget to meet the Company objective.
- Supervise drilling & completion execution assuring that operations conform to plans and are being carried out safely, efficiently, managing off shore manpower, rig, material supplies and stock, resolving difficulties which could otherwise delay drilling progress.
- Interface with the relevant teams ensuring that the Company’s standards and objectives are observed.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Concur in preparing all drilling & completion planning
- Review the performance of Contractors and Services Companies
- Support any relevant audit
- Ensure that all the operations under the drilling & completion responsibility comply with the Company Safety Management System.
- Ensure contractor personnel, services and materials are available at rigsite when required avoiding any delay in operations.
- Supervise drilling and completion operations carried out by all personnel at the rigsite.
- Interface directly with the relevant Departments and support groups to define and deliver agreed improvement opportunities.

**Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
Drilling Operations & completion and abandonment
- To assist in the preparation of technical specifications and scopes of work for tendering equipment and services for drilling & completion operations.
- Coordinate drilling & completion activities in accordance with programmes, Company procedures and best practices.
- Report the progress of the operations to the Drilling/Completion Superintendent on a regular basis, agree and implement any corrective action as necessary.
- Prepare the Business case and AFE for Managers operations cost approval.
- Prepare the operational daily costs and reconcile against planned costs.
- Monitor the consumption and stock of materials available at rigsite, request personnel, materials and services in good time in order to avoid any delay in operations.
- Participate to all Risk Assessments (HAZOP_HAZID) before each operation, and ensure that all the relevant actions captured in the assessment are closed before the start of operations.
- Represent the Company on all matters at the rigsite.
- Ensure that drilling and completion operations are carried out safely, with good oilfield practice and in accordance with programme and all relevant company standards and HSEQ procedures.

**Health, Safety and Environment**
- Ensure full adherence to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and standards.
- Fully comply with Eni Code of Ethics and Compliance Model.
- Comply with company standards for well integrity.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Qualified in an Engineering or appropriate discipline, supplemented by operational experience
- Previous experience in similar role
- Good knowledge and understanding of Oil Industry and Upstream Activities.
- Good management skill
- Good understanding of operations and process facilities.
