Job Advert for Full time gardener

25k per annum

Full time 5 days a week Monday to Friday. Weekend cover once roughly every 2 months to be discussed.

45 hours per week.

Start date spring 2023

Job Brief

Gardener to work in a stunning 600-acre estate in the surrey hills. The successful applicant will join a small hard-working team in all manner of horticultural activities. We have an 18th century walled garden in which we grow organic vegetables for a prestigious client. We also have formal gardens, rose gardens, a rock garden, woodland areas and more. Horticultural experience would be great, however most important would be a passion for working outdoors with plants and other people.

Duties
- Working under the head gardener to complete a wide range of horticultural tasks both in a team and by themselves.
- Working to maintain formal gardens surrounding the main house and other areas.
- Growing organic vegetables in the walled garden and surrounding area.
- Chipping in with other jobs on the estate as required by the Head Gardener and Estate Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in the horticultural industry (preferably working in formal gardens or in vegetable production).
- RHS level 2 or higher (preferred).
- A positive outlook and drive to work hard.

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Common: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
