**Embedded Software Engineer - Electronic Products - Greater Manchester - £38,000 to £45,000**
**About the Company**
Our client is an established design and manufacturer of precision measurement tools and associated electronic products are currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join their Product Development team.
**Embedded Software Engineer - The Rewards**

**Embedded Software Engineer - Requirements**
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline, ideally Electronics or Software Engineering
- Extensive embedded system development experience is essential
- Knowledge of RTOS (ThreadX an advantage)
- Knowledge of embedded graphics tools such as Ametec Crank would be advantageous
- Understanding of general software debugging techniques, first stage bootloaders and software integration packages
- Experience in software development, software lifecycle processes and tool chains (Git, SVN etc)
- Experience in a variety of microcontrollers (ARM, ST, Renesas and Microchip PIC)
- Competent with embedded protocols for both Hardware and Software (such as I2C, SPI, QSPI, CAN, UART, MODBUS, RS485, USB, Ethernet, MQTT, REST) is essential
- Experience in designing, testing and debugging electronics would be advantageous

**Embedded Software Engineer - Responsibilities**
- Generate software design specifications by analysing requirements and high-level designs required for embedded systems
- Generate and maintain high quality code and software modules
- Co-ordinating and take ownership of the overall delivery of embedded systems including - conceptual design, prototyping and design for manufacture
- Champion design reviews and act as the system design authority for responsible projects
- Plan, define & execute software design validation tests by documenting software design changes and taking ownership of software releases and support documentation
- Support manufacturing to ensure scalable software integration at end of line
- Product lifecycle management and new product integration
- Support the design bring up phase and integration of system and of test equipment
- Originate and contribute to the culture of innovation, both from a technical/engineering perspective and in process/operation
- Collaborate with other product design disciplines, such as electrical and electronics engineers
