Outreach Teacher

**Job Title: Outreach Teacher**

**Salary: £26k - £35k**

**Contract Type: Permanent**

**Location: Doncaster**

Leader Education is working in partnership with an independent SEMH School that is based in Doncaster which are recruiting for an Outreach Teacher, to teach pupils aged 11-17.

This role consists of either going to a residential home nearby or the home of the student to provide 1:1 teaching and support, as the student would not be able to attend the school.

You will have previous experience of working with students with SEMH - social, emotional, and mental health issues (previously known as BESD, SEBD & EBD).

You will have excellent behaviour management skills as well as patience, empathy and understanding. The school are looking for a teacher with genuine passion and care for the pupils they teach.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**:

- QTS
- Must be able to drive, to and from homes (each residential home is different for the student)
- Be engaging and fun
- Dynamic and resilient
- Be passionate and committed to inclusive learning
- Be patient and understanding
- Be able to motivate and inspire
- Have a genuine passion for SEND and /or SEMH
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a therapeutic and holistic approach
- Be diverse with your lessons and be able to reach learners at varying levels and abilities

**THE JOB**:

- Ensure learning is accessible and inclusive for all learners
- To plan, deliver and mark work
- To provide fun and engaging lessons, engaging heard to reach learners

This is a full time, permanent vacancy, immediate start.
