**Salary:£11.82 per hour**:

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Technical team as Quality Auditor at our Lees of Scotland site as part of ‘Finsbury Food Group’. **This is what you’ll actually do**:
In this fast moving, busy and varied role, you will be a vital part of the Technical team reporting to the Quality First line manager and responsible for monitoring the quality of product on line while ensuring all process controls are met and recorded on the appropriate paperwork meeting customer and legislative requirements. You will be responsible for highlighting any issues as soon as they are discovered allowing corrective actions to take place, assisting the production staff by ensuring that all process sheets have the correct information and are legible. You will conduct audits of process and HACCP as required.
You will be responsible for conducting visual and measurement tests on product as required, auditing processes against RAG and QAS to ensure compliance. You will strive to improve quality and process to ensure customer requirements are met. You will conduct audits of hygiene, fabrication, glass and hard plastics etc as per schedules.
In the role you will be responsible for quarantining and isolating any materials which fail food safety or quality standards. You will assist in the investigation of any technical issues and generate appropriate documentation to support the manufacturing team. You will take ownership of the calibration and maintenance of Technical equipment e.g. probes, scales etc as required.
Communication is key within the role and you will be responsible for communicating any issues with calibration to the Technical Manager and report any issues which may affect product safety, quality and/or legality. You will work closely with the Technical team to resolve any issues as required.
**Ideally this is you**:
- Awareness and experience of BRC, HACCP and food hygiene
- Experience of Computer based systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- The ability to work within a multi-function team or individually as required
- General health and safety awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative
