Are you an outstanding practitioner ready for your first role in leadership or an experienced Head of Science looking for a new challenge?

This fantastic academy in Frome is looking for a dedicated Head of Science to join the team from the start of Term 5 on a permanent basis for full-time hours.

As a Head of science, you will lead the science department and advance the curriculum to meet the demands of the school. The roles would be well suited for a versatile senior teacher who feels ready to take on more responsibility or an experienced Head of Science looking for a new challenge, showing their drive to improve practices using excellent curriculum knowledge.
- Your responsibilities as head of science will include:_
- Managing the science department, taking responsibility for all aspect including budget management, stuff supervision and professional development
- Ensure effective curriculum development
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Keep up-to-date with current science education best practices and research
- Who the client is looking for_
- Qualified teacher status
- Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

**Salary**: £40,625.00-£43,685.00 per year
