We are looking to employ a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our department. These have arisen out of replacement and expansion of services. The team consists of 32 consultants, 3 associate specialists with a number of Speciality doctors, Welsh Deanery trainees, MTI doctors and Clinical Fellows. We have 2 acute pain nurses and 4 office / admin staff. Our ethos is working with and supporting each other to help us achieve our best.

This post is a full-time post with a job-plan involving daytime fixed / flexi lists and the general on-call rota, which is currently a 1 in 11 frequency. Sessions may include obstetrics and POAC as well as anaesthesia for surgical specialities. There is a separate intensive care rota and weekend trauma rota. Applicants with an interest or dual specialty training are also encouraged to apply, opportunities to join the ICU service also exist.

In addition to the range of DGH services, we are the regional centre for maxillo-facial surgery and vascular surgery and neonatal intensive care. There is a 24/7 PCI service on site.

The hospital has recently completed a 7 year programme of rebuild resulting in a modern and bright working environment.
