- Hourglass Leadership are working on behalf of an Alternative Provision based in London who are seeking a Deputy Head of School on a permanent basis.
- We are looking to speak to engaging, inspirational and effective leaders currently in a SEN environment or from a mainstream background who have demonstratable experience working with alternative education and therapeutic learning.
- **As the Deputy Head of School your main responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of Teaching, Learning & Assessment as well as**:

- Support the Head of School in the day to day running of the school- Manage key elements of the school improvement plan- Review policies and procedures, make amendments and deliver changes- Actively promote and engage with students with regards to attendance and punctuality- Develop staff, provide support and identify future talent**About the School**

- The AP offers both vocational and academic curriculums, dependent on the needs of the student. They recognise if students are to achieve their best, then it is important to have a create curriculum and offer varied pathways. The school is recognised for providing meaningful advice to students about different career paths and the skills and qualifications required after leaving full-time education.
- **About You**- Previous experience in middle management or leading aspects of a school- Valuable if you have experience in improving literacy and numeracy at KS3 & 4- Taught in an Alternative Provision or Pupil Referral Unit- Knowledge of school improvement and how to implement the plan- High expectations of staff and pupils alike and lead by example- Use data to track pupil progress and use analysis to ensure best possible outcomes- You have Qualified Teacher Status- Taught at Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5/Taught Alternative curriculums-
