English and Maths Tutor (Level 2 Functional Skills)

**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English and Maths for Level 2 Functional Skills students.
- Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills and achieve their qualifications.
- Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Support and guide apprentices through their Functional Skills assessments, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident.
- Maintain accurate records of learners' progress and achievements.
- Work closely with other tutors and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Stay updated with the latest teaching methods, educational trends, and apprenticeship requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance on apprenticeship programs and pathways to learners.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in teaching English and Maths, preferably at Level 2 Functional Skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of apprenticeship frameworks and the apprenticeship education sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with online teaching platforms and digital learning tools is an advantage.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 per week
