Offshore Operator

**SUMMARY**:As a member of the Offshore team, this role will actively undertake offshore and onshore Rig Cooling operational activities. You will deliver safe, efficient, innovative and excellent quality work, provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients.
This role will attend offshore as and when required to install and operate rig cooling systems. When onshore, the role supports the Workshop Manager as required with load outs, servicing of equipment and other yard activities.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following)**:
- Act upon instructions and deliver upon tasks assigned by the Operations department.
- Install and operate complete Rig Cooling systems (Electrical and mechanical pumps, surface pump operation, hoses and metalwork etc).
- Support both offshore and onshore activities within the Company’s inventory.
- When offshore, ensure equipment inventories are completed (pre

- operations)
- Support onshore operations by assisting the warehouse personnel with the servicing and maintenance of equipment, equipment load outs and any other activities as required.
- Evaluate and recommend innovations to drive continuous improvement for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Seek to continuously improve quality of service to our clients.
- Collect equipment operating data and troubleshoot any equipment failings.
- Assist with effective electronic and hard-copy departmental record-keeping.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the services and products received from 3rd party companies and suppliers.
- Participate in and assist with internal, external and Client audits as required.
- Support and commit to training provided onshore and offshore and comply with corporate training programs.
- Become familiar and/or efficient with: Infrared Temp Gun Operation, Isothermal Meter Operation, Sound Meter Operation, Thermal Radiation Awarenes, Valves and Fittings awareness

**REQUISITES**:
**EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE**:
- Relative, practical offshore rig experience required, preferably in associated Rig Cooling operations.
- Knowledge of diesel engines would be advantageous
- A minimum of Secondary School Education.
- Numerate and literate.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and vendors.
- A current driving license is preferred but not essential.
**KNOWLEDGE**:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict time-lines.
- Can understand and analyse complex information quickly and effectively; be able to present that information simply and accurately.
- Understands P&ID and equipment layout drawings.
- Basic Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Able to interpret requests and instructions accurately, and interpret customer needs accordingly, in order to deliver necessary guidance or instruction.
